He had spent ten years treating an “exhausted housewife” like a servant, entirely forgetting that she had chosen to live a simple, humble life with him out of genuine love, hiding her family’s immense billionaire status to ensure his intentions were pure. And he had thrown her, and their two beautiful children, into the dust for a ghost.

Meanwhile, thirty thousand feet above the Atlantic Ocean, the cabin of the private luxury jet was perfectly still.

Catherine sat in a plush leather seat, sipping a hot cup of tea while her two children slept soundly under heavy cashmere blankets across from her. For the first time in a decade, the suffocating weight of the Coleman family’s greed was entirely gone.

Her laptop buzzed with a short text message from her personal security detail back in New York: “The Coleman assets have been fully seized. The lover’s fraud is exposed. They are completely ruined.”

Catherine didn’t smile, nor did she look back. She simply closed the screen, leaned her head against the window, and watched the endless horizon of clouds change color in the evening sun. She was flying home to her family’s estate, and the future finally belonged completely to them.
